SCALE E-FED

The E-FED is a FED emulated by a GIII board. The data are send to a SLINK board as with a real FED. The data send can be :

    1. Random data (the event is descripted by 2 64-bit word (evt#, length, seed, BX...)

    2. The data are preloaded inside the SDRAM (32MB) (Event included Header and Trailer

    3. The data are preloaded inside the SDRAM (32MB). Header and Trailer are build by the FPGA according information received by the TTC adaptor

b. A TTC adaptor card was developed for 3 projects:

    -To receive the TTC signal in the FRL FMM crates via the trigger distributor card.

    -To check all the TTC signal (number of triggers, Bunch Crossing number...) during a run. This is done via a USB tester card.

c. The new FED kit

Actually, the FED designer can read their data through SLINK with a old SLINK CMC version and a different cable not compatible with which one is installed at Cessy.

To give the possibility to the FED designer to plug the FED-kit to their FED install at Cessy (without changing the SLINK CMC), we developed a new receiver card (plugged on GIII as before) which uses a cable production version.
