Transmitter Mezzanine (plugged on the FED)

This page will explain you how to reprogram the FPGA on the mezzanine card.

To do it, you have to follow the explaination below:

1. Download the update from the table below

2. You unscrew the Merger Mezzanine card plugged on the Generic III board.

3. You plug instead the Transmitter Mezzanine

4. The "BYPASS_JTAG" switch (Generic III top-right, under JTAG connector)     put 1 and 2 'OFF' left site.

5. Switch 'OFF' PC ,you plug Generic III on the PC (running Linux).

6. You go to the following WEB page : http://cmsdoc.cern.ch/~cschwick/software/documentation/GIII-JTAG/index.html

7. You execute the instructions of this page with the file that you download on this page.

8. If you have a problem contact us.

9. If everything is OK , switch off the PC. Reinstall the Merger Mezzanine card on the Generic III (with screw).
